Intermediate Relay RYER series RY-ELE

The role of the intermediate relay: to play the role of converting and transmitting control signals. Its input signal is the electrical signal of the coil, and the output signal is the contact action of the intermediate relay. In essence, it is a kind of voltage relay, which has the characteristics of a large number of contacts.

The power supply used in the elctromagnetic coil of the intermediate relay is DC and AC.

An intermediate relay is essentially a voitage relay, usually used to transmit signals and control multiple circuits simultaneously, and can also be used to directly control small capacity motors or other electrical actuators. The structure and working principle of the intermediate relay are basically the same as that of the AC contactor. The main difference with the AC contactor is that the number of contacts is large and the contact capacity is small, so only a small current is allowed.

How to Choose the Right Intermediate Relay for Your Application

The selection of intermediate relays is mainly based on the voltage level of the controlled circuit, the number, type, and capacity of contacts,

The form and voltage level of the coil power supply should be consistent with the control circuit. If the control circuit of a CNC machine tool is powered by DC 24V, a DC appliance with a rated working voltage of 24V for the coil should be selected

The requirements for selecting the type and quantity of contacts for the control circuit are normally open or normally closed,

The rated voltage of electrical contacts should be greater than or equal to the voltage of the controlled circuit,

The contact current of electrical appliances should be greater than or equal to the rated current of the controlled circuit. If the inductance is negative, it should be reduced to less than 50% of the rated current for use. According to the voltage level, number, type, and capacity of the controlled circuit, the coil power supply form and voltage level should be consistent with the control circuit. If the control circuit of a CNC machine tool uses DC 24V power supply, a DC relay with a rated working voltage of 24V for the coil should be selected. (b) Select the type (normally open or normally closed) and quantity of contacts according to the requirements of the control circuit. (c) The rated voltage of the relay contacts should be greater than or equal to the voltage of the controlled circuit The contact current of the relay should be greater than or equal to the rated current of the controlled circuit. If it is an inductive load, it should be reduced to less than 50% of the rated current for use.
